Undergraduate student research

For their Senior Thesis or Honors in Research at UW-Madison, undergraduates in my lab are each spearheading their own research projects:

Betty Chu
I am interested in mammalian ecology by applying genetic methods to explore questions about species conservation. My project is focused on the mating strategies of the porcupine community based on parentage.

Isabel Field
My interests lie in Wisconsin’s apex predators and how stable isotopes can be used to identify their foraging patterns. My project utilizes stable isotopes to better understand the relationship between food subsidy consumption and the reproductive activity within Wisconsin’s black bear population.
