JACKSON TENNEY

I earned my B.Sc. in Wildlife Ecology and Conservation at the University of Nevada – Reno, where I also assisted with research on the impacts of habitat change on small mammal behaviors and populations. Since then, I have worked on a number of field projects throughout the US, and have developed a broad variety of research interests spanning community ecology, population dynamics, global change, and wildlife diseases.

For my master’s thesis, I will be studying small mammal populations in northern Wisconsin to determine how factors such as snow cover and food availability relate to seasonal and interannual fluctuations in diversity and abundance. I hope to use this information to make predictions about upstream effects, such as changes in abundance of their predators or altered relationships with their parasites.
