I am interested in ecology and how species and communities respond to changes in their environment. More specifically, I like to understand how humans can alter and restore environments to effectively manage for certain species. My goal is to understand how climate change is affecting northern mammals species and how forest management can positively impact mammal communities.
My master’s research focuses on seasonal changes in small mammal communities in northern Wisconsin and how those communities change across varying forest types. I am also looking at how mammal species use the subnivium in winter and how climate change is affecting this fragile habitat.
