My research interests revolve around applied ecology, predator-prey interactions, and conservation biology.  I earned my B.S. in Fisheries and Wildlife at Michigan State University, where I studied a variety of topics, from human predation to Lyme disease ecology to black bears in the Sierra Nevada mountains. During my M.S. in Wildlife Ecology and Conservation at the University of Florida, I studied novel detection and capture techniques for Burmese pythons and their impact on the Everglades mammal community. I am co-advised in the Pauli and Peery Labs, where I will be investigating the impacts of forest disturbance on raptor and carnivore communities in the California Sierra Nevada mountains and how to manage for resilient communities.
